Therapy in Leeds and Online

Therapy

Feeling disconnected can quietly affect so many areas of life—your relationships, your work, and how you relate to yourself. Therapy offers a gentle pause, a space to begin reconnecting with what matters most to you.

Together, we’ll explore what’s happening beneath the surface, at a pace that feels right for you. I won’t offer quick fixes or ready-made advice—but I will offer something deeper: a calm, supportive space where you can begin to hear yourself again and gently rediscover your own inner strength.

Initial Consultation

Our first meeting is just an introduction—an opportunity for us to talk

about what’s bringing you to therapy, and see if working together feels like a

good fit. You’re welcome to ask questions, get a sense of how I work, and take

your time before deciding anything. There’s no pressure—just space to explore

whether this feels like the right step for you.

How We Work Together

We’re all shaped by our unique experiences, and my approach reflects that. I offer integrative therapy, which simply means I draw from a variety of approaches, depending on what feels most helpful for you.

At the heart of my work is a person-centred approach—I see you as the expert on your own life. Our work begins by building a relationship based on trust, where you can feel safe enough to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. I may draw on psychodynamic ideas, ACT, CBT, or creative methods—gently blending what feels most supportive.

In our work together, we may explore:

  • Different aspects of yourself – Reflecting on the parts of you that feel conflicted, unheard, or unseen, so you can develop greater self-understanding and self-trust.
  • Bringing awareness to your emotions with curiosity and compassion – Supporting you in developing a deeper connection with your inner world, without fear or judgment.
  • Using creativity – If it resonates with you, we may explore your emotions through imagery, symbolism, or guided reflection to bring clarity and insight.
  • Untangling the narratives you hold about yourself – Helping you identify and gently challenge beliefs that keep you feeling stuck or unworthy.

Above all, what matters is finding a way to help you reconnect—with your emotions, your sense of self, and your relationships with others.

Why Therapy

People come to therapy for all kinds of reasons. Sometimes it's a specific challenge—like anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship struggles, grief, or navigating a major life transition. Other times, it’s less clear. You might simply feel stuck, unsure how to move forward or where to begin.

This may show up as:

  • Feeling emotionally numb or detached
  • Living on autopilot, just getting through the day
  • Burnout and exhaustion that doesn’t ease with rest
  • Using achievement, control, or busyness to manage difficult feelings
  • Struggling to connect meaningfully in relationships

Alongside these, you might be carrying symptoms that feel harder to name, such as:

  • Persistent fear, anxiety, or hypervigilance
  • Shame, guilt, or a sense of being “too much” or “not enough”
  • Difficulty sleeping, constant fatigue, or physical pain with no clear cause
  • Intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, or a sense of dissociation
  • Racing thoughts, difficulty focusing, or feeling like your mind won’t switch off
  • A loss of meaning or direction, or a deep sense of isolation

I also have specific experience supporting people who have lived through trauma, domestic abuse, and coercive relationships.

You don’t need to have a clear label or diagnosis to begin therapy. Sometimes, a quiet sense that something just isn’t right is enough.

Together, we can gently explore what’s going on beneath the surface and begin to understand what your mind and body have been holding.

How I work

I offer sessions in person at my practice in central Leeds, or online via secure video call—whatever feels more comfortable or practical for you. In-person therapy gives you a dedicated space outside of everyday life, while online sessions can offer greater flexibility. We can also blend both if that suits your needs.

Sessions last 60 minutes and usually take place weekly, but I’m happy to be flexible depending on what works best for you and your circumstances.

I look forward to hearing from you and supporting you on your journey.
